Bright aqua with black dendrites, this translucent Peruvian Opal is set in a 14k gold bezel with three 2mm black spinels also set in 14k gold. The Peruvian Opal measures 15mm long by 10mm wide. The pendant bail is also 14k gold and can accommodate a variety of chain sizes The back of the piece is sterling silver. It is shown with a 1.1mm 14k rolo chain that has a lobster claw clasp, but it also available without the chain.

Peruvian Opal is a rare stone that is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio. The colors are reminiscent of a Caribbean ocean and it commonly has dendrites that add to its "picture" quality. It is the national stone of Peru. It is about 5.5 to 6.5 on the Moh's scale of hardness which is about the same hardness as glass so some care must be taken not to scratch the stone.
