Peruvian Blue Opal set in 14k gold with 14k gold accents on an oxidized sterling silver backplate. This gorgeous kite shaped opal has a beautiful mysterious look, I can see a mountainous landscape or an undersea world with a giant sea creature within this stone. I've set it in a 3mm wide 14k bezel with four 2mm solid 14k balls. The backplate is sterling silver as is the band which is 2mm wide and has a satin finish.

Peruvian Opalized Wood is a rare stone that is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio. The colors are reminiscent of a Caribbean ocean and commonly has dendrites that add to its "picture" quality. It is the national stone of Peru. It is about 5.5 to 6.5 on the Moh's scale of hardness which is about the same hardness as glass so some care must be taken not to scratch the stone.
