Flashy and strikingly beautiful Australian Boulder Opal set in 14k yellow gold. This gorgeous stone is set in a 14k bezel, which was then wrapped in 14k wire and soldered onto 14k sheet. The ring shank is a double half round wire that I've opened to hold the stone is a graceful and balanced shape. The opal measures approximately 3/4" long by 3/8" wide or 20mm by 8mm. This is truly a one of a kind stone in a one of a kind ring. This ring is destined to become a family heirloom.

Opal rates at approximately 5.5-6.5 on the mohs scale which is a similar hardness to glass. It is, therefore very important that you treat your opal carefully and avoid subjecting it to force or to any other activities that could potentially damage or break it.
I would advise you to remove any opal jewelry while showering, bathing or any strenuous activity (gardening, sports, etc.)
