Australian Koroit Boulder Opal set in 14k yellow bezel with sterling silver band. This beautiful opal measures 9mm by 7mm (3/8" by 1/4"). The 14k gold bezel is 3mm wide. The half round sterling silver band is 3mm or 1/8" wide.

This ring is a size 7 and can be stretched to a size 7.5. If you would like a different size, I have a large collection of beautiful opals for you to choose from to create your own custom sized ring. Just convo me if you like to see some gorgeous opals!

Australian Boulder opals are the second most valuable type of opal (after black opal). Boulder opals are easily distinguished by a layer of solid brown ironstone on the back of the stone. Boulder opals are mined from large ironstone boulders found underground. Veins of colourful opal formed in cracks and fissures from water that was carrying silica finding its way over the ironstone boulders. It takes about 5 million years for an opal to form. Truly an ancient miracle!
